Welcome To OVTEI
The Omorinola Vocational Technology and Entrepreneurship Institute (OVTEI) is a registered Non-Governmental Educational Institution created to correct the country’s skill gap and avert the current socio-economic crisis bedeviling the country through the training of Nigerian youths to gain practical skills that are required in the job market or that can enable them to become self-employed and ultimately, employers of labour.
To embrace vocational and technical education through a comprehensive strategy to close the skills gap, the OVTEI college infrastructures and operational structures were constructed following the criteria specified by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). With the requisite skill set, the nation may reclaim its proper place in the comity of countries in terms of industry. This strategy is based on the idea that learning is a lifetime Endeavour.
Our mission, therefore, is to fill the skills gap by proffering solutions through the training of candidates in the acquisition of hands –on skills that can make them employable/self-employed or employers of labour.
Through a well-rounded curriculum and a hands-on delivery strategy that emphasizes theoretical rigour, industrial training, and cutting-edge technology, the institution is well-positioned to create a transformative and proactive learning environment. For immediate industrial employment or independent practice, our learners will be able to obtain national and international certification. The College seeks to develop a skilled workforce that is highly employable and capable of making a significant contribution to a healthy national economy by providing market-driven skilled labour needed at all levels of the economy.
OVTEI-designed training modules are used in conjunction with a nationally certified curriculum to give classroom instruction that is informed by the needs of the present and emerging industries. The College now provides training in a variety of technical fields, including electrical and electronic technology, HVAC technology, building construction technology, information and communications technology, etc. In addition to other high-demand trade skills and professions, our future expansion goals include agricultural mechanization and agribusiness, food-processing technology, and others. The College will soon submit an application for accreditation as an Innovation Enterprise Institution to the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
